Not Me Monday
Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.
This week I did not wait till practically the last moment to take my Javascript quiz, and pass it with only 1 wrong answer (I guess I really do know Javascript better than XML
)
I did not loose it with the 13 year old, and practically avoid him for most of the weekend, it’s not that he continually showed the normal argumentative, know it all and selfish behavior of a teen boy.
I also did not sleep away 3 hours yesterday, instead of working on the multitude of school work I need to do for this week.
I also am not working on this blog post, instead of the 2 blog posts I need for my school blog that need to be done by class time tomorrow.
I also did not keep the girl child up all throughout boy childs Cross Country meet today, so that she would fall asleep on the ride home and sleep all night. She was tired after her group private lesson today.

Not me! Monday

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.
Well I did not completely forget my preschoolers Bible verse quiz last week, which happened to be on the same day as my computer programming test. Nor did I quiz her like crazy this morning thinking she had another one today, and its not till next Monday. I think keeping track of 3 test/quiz schedules is starting to get the best of me.I spent way to much time last week working on the layout/design of this Blog, and have barely touched the Blog for my Web 2.0 class- and I will not correct this in class tomorrow while we are<span style=”text-decoration: line-through;”> supposed to be</span> watching some video.
I did not spend too much (as in anything) for the pictures taken at church on Saturday, the free 8 X 10 and the Church photo book is enough for us, I didn’t get the proofs package. At least I really did stay away from the $112 3 photo collage…… <span style=”text-decoration: line-through;”>to bad the kids Dad dropped the ball in regards to pictures and I’m still waiting on Emmy’s 3 year old pictures </span>
I am not having fun being a parent to a teen, who would much rather be playing video games and not paying attention to his school work, and then sneaking any amount of time playing any game he can get his hands on.
Not did I allow the before mentioned teen to play games in exchange for doing a load of dishes in the dishwasher.
I also did not make the mistake of thinking we were on Chapter 4 in my Javascript class, do that chapters assignment and lab only to find out when saving that I should have done Chapter 3. Well at least I don’t have any work due in that class next Tuesday.<img onclick=”grin(‘’);” src=”../wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_razz.gif” alt=”” />

Making Changes
Things have been changing this past year. My 13 year marriage started crumbling like the Berlin Wall last August, and is still in process of coming completely down. I started school last January, and have been really been trying to find myself and where I want to go in the future. I think I have finally found what I want to do and I have my path set, now to implement it. It is not going to be an easy road, but then again nothing worth really having is easy to get.
First Cross Country Meet '09
Well last Tuesday Matt had his first Cross Country meet of the season. It was at a new location, another local middle school. There was plenty of other practices going on so Emmy was occupied. In fact we had one of our few “Don’t take my picture mom!!!!” moments.

The girls ran first, so the boys cheered them on- you have got to love the Team Spirit that is exhibited by this team. Everyone is cheered on no matter if your on our team or another.

Running Hard

Well Matt finished 10th out of the boys, I’m still waiting to see how the team did. But I do think it was a great meet for us. Especially for all of the new kids who have never run Cross Country before.

School Week #3
Well here we are, just finishing up week #3 of school for all of us. Emmy and I have survived our first bout of allergies or cold (still not sure).
Matt had his first Cross Country meet this past week, he’s also started Swim team practice. Emmy will also start swim lessons on Monday, she definitely needs this.
Emmy had her first taste of having her Larry Boy moved this week, and it is not something that she wants to happen again, at least with her I trust that this will just be a once and awhile thing.
These 4 classes of mine are keeping me on my toes, and by Friday I was ready to take a nap- or actually pass out.
All Moved In
Well I think I can finally say that I am happy with the new layout. Oh there will probably be a few minor tweaks here and there but I think this is it: Welcome to my new Home!!!!!

Ditch the Disposables Challenge 2009
I wanted to do this challenge, from the moment I read about it. I have just been to busy to FULLY commit myself to it till now.
So for September and October, and most likely from here on out I am pledging to give up:
- paper napkins (yesterday at the IKEA I purchased some cloth ones)
- Those disposable baggies in the kids lunches. I just go through too many each day.
I think I should probably add something else, since these really are not a challenge, but I don’t want to over due it and stop with even these two. So I will re-evaluate this lets say nest week.

I Am So Tired and Anoyed Right Now
I am currently taking 4 classes this semester at the local Community College. Well 1 book I found cheaper with one of the affiliates at Amazon.com. Now almost 13 days after the book was ordered it is still not here. For this class I wasn’t too concerned, since we didn’t need to use the book till the class last Thursday- thankfully I knew enough to get the majority of the work done without the book…. but I still need that book. The next class is not till Tuesday I won’t have the book before then either, I did fined the book on the internet where I can preview the book- but I don’t know how long that will last. Tuesday I will have to do battle and get an answer of when that book will come (with the Holiday weekend that is the soonest I can do this).
Hello world! From my new home!
I have changed from Mattnem05 to Tech Mom 05 because, well that is who I am. Yes I am Matt’s mom, and Yes I am Emmy’s mom but I am also more than that. Right now my life is definitely more centered around them but as they get older they will need me less, and I do not want to loose my own identity. Therefore the change.

Hectic Days
Things have sure been busy here the past few weeks. The kids and I started school last Monday on the 24th. So we are all getting used to having to be up early to get Matt to school on time, and in turn getting Emmy to her class and for me to get to mine. It sure can be a juggling act, but we are having fun for now. On the 8th Matt starts swimming, that will definitely add to our schedule- I sure am missing those lazy summer days and cannot wait for Christmas break when we won’t be on a schedule.
School this past week and a half has been fun, I’m taking 4 classes 2 online and 2 on campus. Which is definitely a blast from the past, computer classes have not changed in the past 19 years- at least I am not the oldest or the only girl in the class (ok I’m the 2nd oldest and 1 of 3 girls but I’m not alone
)
Here is Emmy from her first day of school:

and Matt’s picture from his first day:

This is looking like it’s going to be a good school year for both kids. Emmy has Matt’s old teacher from 4 year old pre-school and she is definatly one of our favorites from his school (the other moved to Arizona a few years ago
) Her special friend W is in the other class so drop offs have been nice since she can play with him then. She’s still talking about dating and marrying W, which Matt wishes she would stop but I think it is cute.
